Bike-Brunch-Bike day. 12 miles in total. With temps at 80 and heavy headwind, the uphill at Millenium Park totally reminded me of Tamhini ghat.

Known for its Aboriginal peoples and its vast, ancient landscapes, the Outback is an incredibly special place for me. I think that once you get that distinctive red dust in your blood it never comes out. Just read: Into the outback
Liked: Today is my third Indieweb Anniversary I suppose I’ve had a few dozen domains and sites at earlier points, but three years ago today was when I began conglomerating it all at boffosocko.com.

Tickets to India booked! Boy, it’s already been 4 years…Can’t wait for the awesomeness in store!
When I first flew over Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park in March, 2004, I saw a lush, Eden-like landscape. But I couldn’t pick out a single animal. In the 1960s, the park’s large fauna population was one of the densest and most diverse in Africa, earning Gorongosa the slogan “The place where Noah left the Ark.” Source: How to Restart an Ecosystem

VishuKani 2017. My first ever kani setup. Vishu has always been one of my favorite festivals. The simplicity and the depth of celebrations that Appa and Amma had for us, is something I’d always remember. May we all have a prosperous, enriching and mesmerizing year ahead.

Came across a really interesting open source book publishing platform - Pressbooks. Appa’s book dream is so much more closer! Adding that to my list of personal projects.
Great evening out with Miss Me. Short but fun run/bike ride to Skyline park and back. Need to explore the blocked road next time. Feels like summer with temps soaring to the 80s!
Chalked out a neat 5mi loop. VFW via baker school leading on to Baker Street, Brookline St and then back to Lagrange via vine st. Need to get flat brakes for the bike. A nice motor would help too while on the hills. Sunset at 19:20! Phew!
Out for coffee at Big Bear in Dedham. Again a family run cafe with some real interesting and tasty eats. The huge picture of a bear on one of the walls was captivating. Also, the ‘Caution, Bears in this area’ right near the pedestrian crossing was pretty tounge-in-cheek! Just before we left, had a quick chat with the owner on a beautiful wooden slab he had designed. Apparently it’s called fractal wood burning art and is basically simulating lightning on wood to create intricate art forms. Pretty neat stuff! ...
Decided to head to Al wadi for some Lebanese food. Was in for a pleasant surprise as we entered. I cross this restaurant almost every time I run the VFW route and never really thought it would be as ‘decked up’ from the looks outside. Some real good choice and tasty food. Besides they also had a groupon which made it all more worth it. Turkish coffee for the first time. Boy, that’s strong! ...

8.5 miles. To The arboretum and back via Jamaica pond. Should get back here for the hills sometime soon. Bright and sunny with the temps hovering around 50s. Miss Me had her day long yoga fest.

An unplanned dine out at Coppersmith. Miss Me had bought a few raffle tickets for the Girls on the Run Boston Marathon fund raiser event. She’s coaching a team in her school and heard about the event through them. Got there pretty early and had about 2 hours to kill. Neither were into drinking and socialising so we decided to grab some food at the restaurant. Falafel sandwiches. Pretty neat! The wooden interiors, high ceilings, dim lights and Justin on the guitar totally sealed the experience. Highly likely we’ll be back here. ...
