Where's my wife?

It’s been almost a month now that I’m married and I don’t even know who my wife is! :-) Every junior who happens to talk to me asks the same question - Heard you’ve had a registered marriage! And you didn’t even tell me? All thanks to that wonderful person who’s started the rumour. And I wish I knew who that holy soul is! Before the rumor does any more damage, This is just to officially declare that there was no registered marriage! I’m pretty much a bachelor! :-) ...

Breakfast at 8:00!

Breakfast here in the Pune DC is pretty fascinating! The huge food court with its high raised ceiling and the glass facades does make for a beautiful start. The other day while Adi and I were having breakfast , I felt a strange sensation on my head. Someone was pulling my hair. It took me only a moment to realise there was a sparrow sitting on my head! :-) Oh Yes! We have sparrows in the food court! Nope..not caged one’s, these are left free to flutter all over and believe me, they totally use their freedom :-) ! ...

Another day down the drain...

Got home pretty late yesterday night after a small get together at Papaji da dhaba. No particular reason as such. Pavan had come to Hyd for a short visit post his training at Satyam- Chennai. Besides, Aditya and I are leaving for Pune this week on a short term transfer. Four of us ( Abi being the fourth) were more or less room mates all through our Engineering lyf at Kanchi. To spruce things up we had Domz joining us :-) . Doma is one hell of a person to be with! All thanks to his childish innocence! :-) ...

The Woman in the Mundu!

The bus jerks along on the road as I get back home from Office. It’s only 6:30pm and I’ve still got about 20kms to traverse. That effectively translated to an hour’s time given the traffic situation at M’patnam. A colleague seated beside me is hooked to the Fountainhead in her hands and is already drooping. Damn and I’m here still awake. My gray cells surprisingly show no signs of tiredness and at the same time my mp3 player gets discharged totally. How better can things get ! ...

What Kids teach!

Today, way back home from office, I got down at Narayanguda. I had to buy a couple of DVDs and a few books for my nephew ’s and nieces. I got into Big Bazaar and walked directly to the Kids section. Took me some time to find the place where they stocked these stuffs . I initially thought this would just be a pick and run shopping, but it turned out to be a total turn plate! :-) ...

I Quit!

I was just sifting through a few of my previous posts couple of minutes back and even before I realized, something came in as a wonderful surprise. My first post was dated March 10th ‘07 and that means It’s been exactly one year that I started rambling on Wordpress. It’s been a wonderful journey all along. Wordpress has been one beautiful tool to rant and rave at my whims. It gave me the reconfigurability which Blogger didn’t match ( and I believe it still doesn’t !), the flexibility that I could deploy when required, the aesthetic appeal that I wanted to personify on my space, and Oh yes the always responsive support team that I believe none of the other competitors of Wordpress are even close to! Be it the stats page or the widgets corner; the lucid variety of themes or the anti spam Akismet utility, the going’s been fabulous. ...

Smell your enemy!

We keep having these so called Personality Development sessions quite frequently at my workplace. Not that it’s a compulsion , but I see to it that I attend most of these. The main reason being, it so happens that the person delivering the address, mostly is someone who’s experienced in a particular field or way too elder to me. More than the topic, I majorly be there to get to understand and see how he/she expresses his/her thoughts in that timespan. Well, there have been quite a few instances when I got knocked off just few minutes into the session and there have been a couple of those beautiful sessions wherein I’ve got deeply involved. Here comes the factor of how you relate to the topic in hand and how effectively the person communicates it to you; but before we go further I’d rather let you know that this post is not about effective communication, but just a light cast on how attending these sessions may help you from a different aspect and get you know facts that you’d be totally oblivious of. ...

The call!

Moments before I hit the bed yesterday night, I got a call from one of my friends. Me: Heylo… Browmith: Dude! Where’ve you been ? We’ve been trying to reach you right from noon. Me: Oh! is it? I was a bit occupied in a session. Br: Session? What session? Today’s Saturday! Me: Oh Yeah! There was a small meet at Microsoft and I was invited. Br: Microsoft? What the heck were you screwing at MS? And they… INVITED you? ...
